The Full Story
NOLA Protection Group was founded in 2012 by Frank Quinn and Darrell Dumestre, combining their backgrounds in security operations, major events and security technology to build a locally owned security company.
Frank, a certified Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners Licensed Qualifying Agent, recognized a need for a locally owned security company that combined professional standards and disciplined operations with genuine knowledge of the communities it served.
Darrell brought extensive experience from the entertainment and special-events industries, giving the company an early advantage in protecting major events, high-profile productions and complex environments. His background has since expanded into integrated security technology, including CEIA weapons-detection systems, Garrett screening equipment and LVT mobile surveillance solutions.
Together, Frank and Darrell built NOLA Protection Group around responsive local leadership, experienced security personnel and modern technology, providing customized protection for people, property and operations.

NOLA Protection Group has since grown from that small operation into one of the most trusted security providers in the region. Holding License #852 from the Louisiana State Board of Private Security Examiners, we now protect hundreds of properties, events, and individuals across the Greater New Orleans area and beyond. We are a locally owned and operated guard company. Our growth has never been driven by aggressive marketing. Instead, it has been fueled organically by referrals from satisfied clients who experienced firsthand the difference that well-trained, locally managed security makes.
Key milestones include securing contracts with high-profile events like the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans games, the Caesars Superdome, Essence Festival and the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Our work with major entertainment productions for ESPN, CBS, NBC, and hundreds of Hollywood South Productions further expanded our reputation for handling complex, high-visibility security assignments with professionalism and precision.
